CVE-2026-44112 is a critical time-of-check/time-of-use race condition in the OpenShell managed sandbox filesystem-write backend in OpenClaw versions before 2026.4.22. A sandboxed operation validates that a target path is beneath the intended mount root, but an attacker can swap path components, such as through a symbolic link, between validation and the subsequent write. This redirects the write outside the sandbox boundary and defeats the intended filesystem isolation.

OpenClaw race-condition vulnerability associated with data theft, privilege escalation, and persistent access.
A critical OpenClaw vulnerability involving a timing gap in the sandboxed execution environment that allows attackers to bypass validation, write outside the sandbox boundary, tamper with system configuration, and establish persistent backdoors.
A critical OpenClaw sandbox escape / TOCTOU-style flaw that lets attackers redirect write operations outside the sandbox boundary, tamper with system configuration, and establish persistent backdoors on the host.
