CVE-2026-44767 is an allowlist enforcement flaw in UI5 Web Components Base affecting theme root handling. The vulnerable logic in setThemeRoot() fails to properly enforce the sap-allowed-theme-origins policy and accepts an attacker-controlled absolute cross-origin URL as a theme root even when no sap-allowed-theme-origins meta policy is present. The same bypass is also reachable through the sap-themeRoot URL parameter. As a result, attacker-supplied input can be used to construct a stylesheet link element that loads CSS from an attacker-controlled origin into the victim page. This results in cross-origin CSS injection rather than script execution, but still enables meaningful manipulation of the rendered interface and limited information disclosure through CSS-based techniques.
