CVE-2026-48132 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Check Point Quantum Security Gateway and Spark Firewall VPN processing when handling IKE traffic over NAT Traversal (NAT-T). The flaw is caused by improper validation of a length value in certain IKE packets processed over UDP port 4500. An attacker-controlled length field can be used without adequate bounds checking, causing the VPN daemon to read beyond the intended buffer or internal data structure. A specially crafted malformed IKE packet can trigger a crash or abnormal termination of the VPN processing service. The issue affects internet-reachable VPN gateways that process NAT-T traffic and results in temporary disruption of VPN negotiations and active tunnel traffic.
