CVE-2026-48849 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Roundcube Webmail affecting 1.6.x before 1.6.16 and 1.7.x before 1.7.1. The issue is caused by an unsanitized subject field in the draft restored value, specifically in the draft restore dialog/workflow. In shared mailbox scenarios, attacker-controlled content placed into the draft subject can be stored and later rendered without proper sanitization, enabling stored XSS as well as HTML/CSS injection in the Roundcube web interface.
