CVE-2026-53363 is a Linux kernel vulnerability in the xfrm IP-TFS path. The flaw is in iptfs_consume_frags(), which transfers paged fragments from one socket buffer to another but does not propagate the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG flag. That flag indicates that fragments are backed by shared, potentially read-only page-cache pages. If the marker is lost during fragment transfer, subsequent ESP processing can incorrectly conclude that in-place encryption is safe. This is the same bug class previously addressed in skb_try_coalesce() for CVE-2026-46300. The issue is therefore a state-propagation error in fragment metadata handling that can lead to unsafe memory handling during encryption operations in affected kernel builds.
