CVE-2026-55897 is an OS command injection vulnerability in OpenWrt LuCI's luci-app-advanced-reboot versions earlier than 1.1.2-6. The application's read ACL grants rpcd file-execution access to a general-purpose shell interpreter. A delegated authenticated session authorized by that ACL can provide caller-controlled arguments that rpcd passes to the shell, resulting in arbitrary command execution with root privileges.

An authenticated, low-privilege remote command-execution vulnerability in OpenWrt LuCI's luci-app-advanced-reboot. An overly permissive RPCD ACL authorizes /bin/sh and permits caller-controlled arguments, enabling root-level arbitrary command execution. Builds without this /bin/sh execution grant, including checked openwrt-24.10 and openwrt-23.05 branches, are not affected by this specific exploitation chain.
A high-severity privilege-escalation vulnerability in OpenWrt luci-app-advanced-reboot where a read ACL exposes /bin/sh via file.exec, allowing delegated users to execute commands as root.
