CVE-2026-56451 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Siemens Opcenter X versions earlier than V2604. The flaw is caused by improper validation of the algorithm specified in the JSON Web Token (JWT) header during token verification. Because the application does not correctly enforce or verify the expected JWT signing algorithm, an unauthenticated remote attacker can forge arbitrary JWTs that are accepted as valid by the application. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to bypass authentication controls and impersonate arbitrary users, including administrative accounts, resulting in unauthorized access to application functionality and data.
