CVE-2026-56853 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Go's net/http server handling of unencrypted HTTP/2 (h2c) connections. When a server is configured to support unencrypted HTTP/2, net/http reads initial bytes of every new connection to detect the HTTP/2 client preface. This preface-detection read was performed without applying the server's configured ReadHeaderTimeout. Consequently, connections that stall during this initial check can remain open beyond the intended header-read deadline.
