CVE-2026-57221 is a missing authorization flaw in RabbitMQ affecting AMQP 0-9-1 passive queue.declare and exchange.declare operations. In affected versions, RabbitMQ fails to enforce the required authorization checks when a client performs passive declarations, allowing any authenticated user who can connect to a virtual host, including an account with effectively zero permissions, to test for the existence of queues and exchanges by known or guessed name and retrieve associated metadata. Exposed metadata includes queue and exchange names as well as queue message counts and consumer counts. The issue weakens tenant isolation and enables unauthorized visibility into messaging topology and operational state, particularly in shared or multi-tenant deployments.
