CVE-2026-57264 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the GeoVision GeoWebPlayer websocket server, an add-on component also referred to as Web Plugin or WS Player and used by GeoVision products such as GV-VMS and GV-Cloud to extend browser-based functionality. The websocket server accepts commands from localhost, and multiple commands rely on an index parameter to access internal arrays, enter critical sections, and dispatch actions. In the vulnerable setPIP command path, the supplied index is not properly validated for bounds before being used in array access, allowing out-of-range reads from memory. The flaw is classified as an out-of-bounds read and may also lead to broader memory corruption conditions depending on runtime state and how the invalid index is subsequently used.
