CVE-2026-57266 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the GeoVision GeoWebPlayer Websocket Server, an addon component used by GeoVision products such as GV-VMS and GV-Cloud and also referred to as Web Plugin or WS Player. The websocket server accepts commands from localhost to extend web interface functionality. In the vulnerable implementation, commands including the 2wayAudio operation accept an index parameter that is used to access internal arrays, enter critical sections, and drive subsequent function calls without proper bounds validation. Because the index is not adequately checked to ensure it falls within the valid range, a crafted value can cause out-of-bounds array access and unintended memory reads.
