CVE-2026-57267 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the GeoVision GeoWebPlayer websocket server, also referred to as Web Plugin in GV-VMS documentation and WS Player for VMS-Cloud. GeoWebPlayer is an add-on used with GeoVision products such as GV-VMS and GV-Cloud to extend web interface functionality through a local websocket service. The flaw arises because websocket commands, including the snapshot command, accept an index parameter that is used to access internal arrays and related structures without proper range validation. By supplying an invalid index value, an attacker can cause out-of-bounds array access during command handling, resulting in unintended memory reads and potentially broader memory corruption conditions depending on the affected code path.
