CVE-2026-57269 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the GeoVision GeoWebPlayer Websocket Server, an add-on component also referred to as Web Plugin or WS Player and used by GeoVision products such as GV-VMS and GV-Cloud to extend browser-facing functionality through a localhost websocket service. The flaw stems from insufficient validation of an index parameter supplied to websocket commands. Multiple commands use this index value to access internal arrays for critical-section handling and function dispatch, but the value is not consistently checked to ensure it falls within valid bounds. In the case identified for this CVE, the vulnerable condition is associated with the disconnect command, allowing crafted input to drive array access beyond intended limits. This results in out-of-bounds memory access and may expose adjacent memory contents or destabilize the process depending on the execution path.
