CVE-2026-57917 is an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability in Asseco proCertum SmartSign affecting versions prior to 9.4.3.90. The application parses external XML entities from attacker-crafted signature files. Exploitation can occur during the file preview stage in the file selection window, before the user confirms opening the file. Because external entity resolution is not properly restricted, a crafted XML payload can cause the application to dereference attacker-controlled or local resources. This can lead to server-side request forgery and, depending on the XML parser configuration, disclosure of local file contents.
