CVE-2026-58010 is an off-by-one flaw in GLib in the gvs_tuple_is_normal function implemented in glib/gvariant-serialiser.c. During an alignment padding check, the bounds validation uses a strict greater-than comparison instead of a greater-than-or-equal comparison. This logic error permits a one-byte read past the end of the intended buffer. The resulting condition is a limited out-of-bounds read that can disclose a single byte of adjacent memory and may also crash the process if the read crosses into an unmapped page.
