CVE-2026-58072 is a CWE-22 path traversal vulnerability in the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) management server's IDownloadAcceptorPb SaveFiles operation. The operation accepts attacker-controlled subfolder and filename inputs without sufficient path validation. A rooted subfolder value causes .NET Path.Combine to discard the intended VSPC share root, allowing creation or truncation of files at attacker-selected locations on the management server. The write executes under the VSPC service account and can be leveraged for remote code execution when a suitable executable or server-interpreted location is writable.

A critical arbitrary-file-write vulnerability in Veeam Service Provider Console's agent-facing SaveFiles RPC method. Attacker-controlled path components, including a rooted path that overrides the intended share root, permit writes anywhere accessible to the VSPC service account. Chaining it with CVE-2026-58073 yields unauthenticated remote code execution.
