CVE-2026-59318 is a privilege-escalation vulnerability in Spring AI's tool-calling support. Spring AI advertises a per-request tool list to the model as a boundary, but that boundary is not fully enforced when a tool call is dispatched. Under certain conditions, a prompt-injection-driven tool invocation can cause the framework to execute a tool that was not made available to the current request. This creates an authorization flaw in which request-scoped tool restrictions can be bypassed during dispatch, potentially allowing access to capabilities outside the intended security context. Affected versions are Spring AI 2.0.0, 1.1.0 through 1.1.8, and 1.0.0 through 1.0.9.
