CVE-2026-59844 is an uncontrolled memory-allocation vulnerability in the libssh SFTP server. The server did not correctly impose limits on the length supplied in SSH_FXP_READ requests. An authenticated remote SFTP client can submit a read request specifying an arbitrarily large length, causing excessive memory allocation. Repeated requests can exhaust available memory.
