CVE-2026-60081 is a resource-allocation vulnerability in DBI::ProfileData in the Perl DBI distribution. In versions prior to 1.651, the parser does not enforce a limit on the path index value read from profile dump files. That path index column is used to size or allocate an array for parsed data structures. Because the value is not bounded, a crafted profile dump file can specify an excessively large index, causing the parser to allocate excessive memory. Version 1.651 addresses the issue by introducing an overridable upper bound for path depth via $MAX_PATH_DEPTH.
