CVE-2026-62431 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Xen's handling of periodic Viridian STIMERs. The flaw arises because the relevant logic performs a division using an unchecked user-controlled divisor value. A malicious guest can set this divisor to zero, triggering a divide error (#DE) fault in the hypervisor path that processes the timer. The issue affects Xen versions 4.13 and later, and is not present in Xen 4.12 and earlier.
