CVE-2026-63093 is a binary planting vulnerability in Anysphere Cursor for Windows version 3.2.16. The application improperly resolves and executes a workspace-resident Git executable from the root of an opened repository. An attacker can craft a repository containing a malicious replacement for the expected Git binary so that, when a developer clones and opens the repository in Cursor, the IDE automatically launches the attacker-controlled executable during startup and again on a recurring timed cadence. The malicious program runs in the security context of the current user, resulting in arbitrary code execution without additional user interaction beyond opening the repository.
