CVE-2026-63119 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Model Context Protocol Ruby SDK, distributed as the mcp gem, affecting versions prior to 0.23.0. The flaw is caused by use of Ruby IO#gets on stdio transport paths without an explicit byte limit in MCP::Server::Transports::StdioTransport and MCP::Client::Stdio. A connected peer or spawned subprocess can send a continuous stream that never includes a newline delimiter, causing the runtime to continue growing the buffer for a single unterminated line until process memory is exhausted. The issue affects both client and server stdio communication paths and results in uncontrolled resource consumption rather than code execution or data disclosure.
