The flaw arises from incorrect lifetime management of an object in permission-handling logic, where memory can be freed while a stale reference remains reachable and is later dereferenced. In the documented exploitation scenario, a remote attacker can deliver a crafted HTML page that triggers the vulnerable code path and, if the victim performs specific UI gestures, leverage the memory corruption condition to achieve arbitrary code execution in the browser context.
