CVE-2026-6362 is a high-severity use-after-free vulnerability in the Codecs component of Google Chrome affecting versions prior to 147.0.7727.101. The flaw can be triggered by a remote attacker using a crafted video file, leading to access of memory after it has been freed and potentially resulting in out-of-bounds memory access. As a memory-safety issue in a browser media-processing path, successful exploitation may enable further memory corruption during handling of malicious video content.
