CVE-2026-63801 is a slab use-after-free read in the Linux kernel TIPC crypto subsystem. The flaw is in the decrypt path, where tipc_aead_decrypt() invokes crypto_aead_decrypt() without first acquiring a reference to the associated network namespace, unlike the corresponding encrypt path. When AEAD decryption is handled asynchronously, the completion handler tipc_aead_decrypt_done() may execute after the bearer's network namespace has been torn down. In that window, cleanup of the namespace can free the per-netns TIPC crypto structure, after which the completion path dereferences fields within the freed object, including crypto statistics, network namespace state, AEAD context arrays, and node-table-related state. The bug is therefore a lifetime-management error affecting asynchronous TIPC decryption completion under net namespace teardown conditions.
