CVE-2026-64032 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel bridge multicast subsystem. The flaw occurs in multicast context management for bridge ports when per-VLAN multicast snooping and global multicast snooping are toggled in a specific sequence. Under normal operation, the bridge enables or disables either per-port multicast contexts or per-{port, VLAN} multicast contexts depending on multicast snooping configuration. However, a logic error can leave both context types enabled on the same bridge port. After a behavioral change in the affected code, bridge port removal may disable only the per-port multicast context when per-VLAN multicast snooping is disabled, leaving a per-port multicast timer-backed context active while the bridge port object is being freed. This stale active context can later reference freed memory, resulting in a use-after-free during bridge port teardown. The issue is associated with bridge multicast handling in net/bridge/br_multicast.c and is triggered by inconsistent state transitions rather than simple port removal alone.
