CVE-2026-6473 is a memory corruption vulnerability in PostgreSQL caused by integer wraparound in multiple server-side memory-allocation calculations. In affected code paths, attacker-influenced size computations can overflow, causing PostgreSQL to allocate a buffer smaller than intended and then write past the end of that buffer. The issue affects multiple PostgreSQL server features and related parsing paths, including cases tied to allocation macros and additional overflow conditions in components such as contrib/intarray, contrib/ltree, and ts_headline input handling. Successful exploitation can crash the server and may permit arbitrary code execution as the operating system account running the PostgreSQL process. Many, but not all, affected cases are limited to 32-bit builds. Affected versions are PostgreSQL releases before 18.4, 17.10, 16.14, 15.18, and 14.23.
