CVE-2026-6541 is an authorization flaw in Mattermost affecting versions 11.7.x through 11.7.1, 11.6.x through 11.6.4, and 10.11.x through 10.11.19. The issue arises because Mattermost does not properly restrict metric configuration changes to the playbook currently being saved. By submitting a crafted import or update request containing a metric identifier associated with a different playbook, an authenticated user with team access can alter another user's playbook metric settings. The vulnerability is a server-side access control failure that permits modification of resources outside the intended authorization scope.
