CVE-2026-6726 is a vulnerability in the TCG TPM 2.0 reference implementation affecting TPM-backed attestation and credential issuance workflows. The flaw is described as an information leakage issue and has also been characterized in vendor advisory material as a spoofing vulnerability related to use of an uninitialized resource or improper object-slot reuse in the TPM 2.0 reference code. A privileged local attacker can cause a TPM-aware certificate authority to issue a credential for a falsified TPM key, including keys used for attestation, device identity, or TLS client authentication. With such a fraudulently credentialed key, the attacker can generate forged TPM 2.0 attestations that appear to originate from a legitimate TPM-backed identity.
