CVE-2026-6727 is a timing side-channel vulnerability in the RSA OAEP decryption implementation used by the TPM 2.0 reference implementation and associated Windows TPM ecosystem exposure. The flaw arises from observable timing differences during OAEP decryption operations. A privileged local attacker with access to the TPM command interface may be able to measure those differences and recover information about TPM-managed RSA decryption operations. Affected material can include ciphertexts encrypted to TPM-managed RSA keys, including the RSA Endorsement Key, as well as TPM-related import blobs, credential blobs, and session salts. Under certain conditions, the weakness may also undermine the integrity of TPM 2.0 attestation flows by enabling attestation forgery.
