CVE-2026-67336 is a vulnerability in better-auth versions prior to 1.6.11 caused by insecure cryptographic defaults in the oidcProvider and mcp plugins. The affected components advertise the "none" algorithm and accept plain PKCE by default. These defaults weaken the security guarantees expected in OIDC and OAuth-style authorization flows by permitting unsafe algorithm negotiation and use of a weaker PKCE mode instead of S256. As a result, an attacker may be able to induce acceptance of unsigned tokens or exploit authorization flows that rely on plain PKCE, undermining token integrity and authorization code protection.
