CVE-2026-67344 is an authorization flaw in ArcadeDB affecting arcadedb-server versions before 26.7.2. The vulnerability stems from failure to enforce the UPDATE_SCHEMA database permission for the ALTER TYPE ... CUSTOM and ALTER TYPE ... BUCKETSELECTIONSTRATEGY SQL operations. These operations map to the LocalDocumentType methods setCustomValue and setBucketSelectionStrategy. As a result, an authenticated user with only read-level access can invoke these ALTER TYPE statements through the HTTP command endpoint and modify type-level schema attributes that should require schema-update privileges. This breaks the intended permission boundary and can lead to unauthorized changes to custom schema metadata and bucket-selection behavior, with downstream risk of schema corruption and incorrect record routing.
