CVE-2026-68580 is an integer overflow vulnerability in FreeRDP before version 3.29.0 affecting the audio input redirection channel (audin) across the ALSA, sndio, WinMM, and OpenSL ES backends. The vulnerable code fails to properly validate the FramesPerPacket value received from an RDP server. By supplying a crafted FramesPerPacket value, a malicious server can trigger an allocation size wraparound during buffer sizing calculations. This can lead to a heap-based buffer overflow in the ALSA backend and denial of service conditions on all affected platforms.
