CVE-2026-69192 is an inconsistent IPv4 parsing vulnerability in the JavaScript ip-address package prior to version 10.3.1. Address4 accepts decimal IPv4 octets with leading zeros and normalizes them as decimal, whereas WHATWG URL parsing and common network resolution interfaces interpret leading-zero octets as octal. Consequently, ip-address validation and classification methods, including isPrivate(), isLoopback(), isLinkLocal(), isCGNAT(), isInSubnet(), isHostInSubnet(), and correctForm(), can evaluate a different destination than the HTTP client or network stack ultimately contacts. Applications using these methods as a network trust boundary may incorrectly permit a restricted internal target.
