CVE-2026-71986 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability in MSI Radix AXE6600 router firmware version v781521. The flaw resides in the router's dmz function, where insufficient neutralization of special elements in input allows attacker-controlled data to be incorporated into operating system commands. A remote attacker can send specially crafted input to the vulnerable DMZ configuration functionality and cause arbitrary commands to be executed on the device. Successful exploitation results in command execution with root privileges on the underlying system, enabling full compromise of the router.
