CVE-2026-71992 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability in the macfilter function of MSI Radix AXE6600 router firmware up to and including version v781521. The flaw results from improper neutralization of special elements in input that is incorporated into operating system commands, allowing attacker-controlled data to be concatenated into command execution paths without sufficient validation or escaping. A remote attacker can exploit the vulnerable MAC filtering functionality to execute arbitrary commands on the router's underlying operating system. Successful exploitation leads to execution with root privileges, resulting in full compromise of the device.
