CVE-2026-7288 is a remotely exploitable buffer overflow vulnerability affecting D-Link DIR-825M firmware 1.1.12, in the web management interface endpoint /boafrm/formVpnConfigSetup. The flaw is reported in function sub_4151FC, where the submit-url parameter from an HTTP POST request is copied into a fixed-size stack buffer using an unsafe copy operation without proper bounds checking. An attacker supplying an oversized submit-url value can overwrite adjacent stack memory, potentially including control-flow data such as the saved return address, leading to arbitrary code execution on the device. Public exploit code has been disclosed.
