CVE-2026-73056 is an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability in SiYuan kernel versions before 3.7.4. The flaw is in the CheckAuth() middleware, which accepts the configured API token through an Authorization header using Token or Bearer formats, or through a token query parameter. These authentication paths are not protected by the application's CAPTCHA and lockout logic associated with NeedCaptcha and WrongAuthCount. Because the API token can be guessed without throttling or lockout, an unauthenticated remote attacker can conduct unlimited automated brute-force attempts against the token. If the token is weak or short and guessing succeeds, the attacker obtains full RoleAdministrator access, which exposes administrative capabilities including arbitrary file operations and SQL query execution.
