CVE-2026-73160 is a high-severity server-side request forgery vulnerability in cti-transmute affecting versions 1.4.0 and earlier. The flaw is present in the /fetch_misp_event and /misp_search_events endpoints. The vulnerable URL validation logic rejected private, loopback, link-local, and reserved addresses only when the supplied host was an IP literal, but accepted ordinary domain names without resolving them first. An attacker could therefore provide a hostname whose DNS resolution pointed to an internal or otherwise non-public address, causing the application server to issue requests to internal network resources. The issue was compounded by the affected routes being accessible to anonymous users. The fix resolves hostnames with socket.getaddrinfo(), verifies that all resolved addresses are globally routable, and adds authentication requirements to the affected endpoints.
