CVE-2026-73269 is an improper privilege-management vulnerability in the cluster-curator-controller component of Red Hat Multicluster Engine for Kubernetes. A namespace-local user able to create ClusterCurator custom resources can submit a resource whose name and namespace use the vulnerable mismatched naming condition. The controller can then create a cluster-scoped ClusterRoleBinding for a namespace-local service account, bypassing intended namespace isolation and elevating that principal to cluster-wide permissions.

A local privilege-escalation flaw in cluster-curator-controller that lets a namespace-local user create a specially named ClusterCurator resource to cause creation of a cluster-scoped ClusterRoleBinding, granting cluster-wide control and broad access to secrets and cluster-management operations.
A critical privilege escalation vulnerability in the cluster-curator-controller component that allows a local user to create a ClusterCurator resource with a specific naming convention and trigger a cluster-scoped ClusterRoleBinding, escalating from namespace-local access to cluster-wide control including secrets access and cluster management.
A privilege escalation vulnerability in Red Hat Multicluster Engine's cluster-curator-controller that allows a tenant with namespace-local access to gain cluster-wide privileges by creating a crafted ClusterCurator resource.
