DiagSpill is an integer-overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel SCTP diagnostic path. SCTP association peer transports are counted in a 16-bit transport_count field. In sctp_assoc_add_peer(), adding the 65,536th unique peer causes this counter to wrap. SCTP sock_diag uses the wrapped count to reserve space for peer-address data, but subsequently iterates over and copies every transport in the association's peer-address list. The resulting size mismatch causes peer address data to be written beyond the allocated skb payload. The upstream fix rejects addition of a new unique peer once transport_count reaches U16_MAX, while preserving lookup and return of an existing transport for duplicate addresses.
