CVE-2026-74480 is a stale-pointer vulnerability in the Linux kernel bridge multicast fast-leave path. In br_multicast_leave_group(), deletion of a matching multicast port group by br_multicast_del_pg() does not terminate iteration. The iterator can subsequently advance through the deleted entry’s next pointer and leave the bridge multicast port-group list referencing a deleted object. The condition arises when multicast-to-unicast has allowed multiple port groups for the same bridge port and multicast group, distinguished by source MAC address, and multicast-to-unicast is then disabled such that matching is performed by port only. The upstream correction exits the fast-leave loop immediately after deleting one matching port group.
