CVE-2026-75029 is an uncontrolled memory-consumption vulnerability in the BIND 9 message parser. When named processes a DNS query response containing multiple identical copies of a singleton record type, such as an SOA record, it appends every identical RDATA instance to the in-memory RDATA set rather than retaining only the permitted singleton occurrence. This permits wire-to-work amplification and increased negative-cache memory consumption. Affected versions are BIND 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.27, 9.21.0 through 9.21.25, Supported Preview Edition 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.27-S1.
