CVE-2026-77415 is an arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the JSONata JavaScript JSON query and transformation language. Versions before 1.8.8 on the 1.x branch and versions 2.0.0 through before 2.2.1 on the 2.x branch permit crafted expressions to chain object-integrity weaknesses. The chain enables mutation of internal objects, exposure and deconstruction of JSONata functions or lambdas, replacement of an internal array-iteration callback, and forgery of internal lambda state. These primitives can reach JavaScript prototype getters and constructor access, then access Node.js built-in modules and process-spawning functionality. The underlying weaknesses include prototype-bearing internal object creation, property shadowing through instance method invocation, traversal into function objects, and insufficient validation of internal lambda identifiers.

Critical arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the JSONata JSON query and transformation language. Crafted expressions can chain object-integrity weaknesses to access Node.js process internals and child_process, enabling code execution as the host process.
An arbitrary code execution vulnerability in JSONata caused by crafted expressions chaining multiple object-integrity weaknesses, allowing code execution with the privileges of the host process.
A vulnerability in jsonata caused by use of standard JavaScript object literals and unsafe property/method handling, enabling prototype pollution, property shadowing, wildcard traversal into function objects, and internal state spoofing. The fixes replace object literals with Object.create(null), use safe prototype dispatch, block wildcard traversal into functions, and reject internal identifier keys.
