CVE-2026-7813 is a systemic authorization vulnerability in pgAdmin 4 server mode affecting Server Groups, Servers, Shared Servers, Background Processes, and Debugger functionality in versions before 9.15. Multiple API endpoints retrieved user-owned objects without scoping queries to the requesting user, allowing an authenticated user to access other users’ private objects by enumerating object identifiers. The flaw exposed cross-tenant data including private server definitions, server groups, background process information, and debugger function arguments. In the Shared Servers feature, the issue extended beyond read access: non-owners could access sensitive connection-related fields and modify owner-associated configuration. Exposed data included database authentication material and SSL-related parameters. Several owner-only fields were writable by non-owners, including a field used to invoke a shell command during connection establishment, and additional fields lacked per-user persistence, causing non-owner edits to mutate the owner’s underlying record. The vulnerability was remediated in pgAdmin 4 version 9.15 through centralized access-control enforcement, user-scoped model filtering, denial handling in the connection manager, suppression of owner-only fields for non-owners, and explicit owner-only write guards.
