TRAMP concatenates login arguments, including an attacker-controlled user field derived from a crafted TRAMP filename or connection specification, and passes the resulting data to a local shell without adequate sanitization. This permits shell command injection when Emacs processes the malicious input. GNU Emacs 30.2 and later are affected; earlier versions may also be affected.
