CVE-2026-79994 is a time-of-check to time-of-use race condition in the guest-to-host Unix-domain socket relay of Docker Sandboxes. The relay verifies that a guest-selected Unix-socket pathname is within an authorized workspace, then later resolves that pathname again when establishing the connection. A malicious sandbox guest can replace an intermediate directory with a symbolic link in the interval between validation and connection, causing the host-side relay to resolve the path outside the authorized workspace and connect to an arbitrary reachable pathname-based AF_UNIX socket. Docker Sandboxes versions 0.37.0 through 0.41.9 are affected.
