CVE-2026-81520 is an uncontrolled resource-consumption vulnerability in MongoDB Connector for BI's SASL authentication negotiation. An unauthenticated network client can initiate a SASL login exchange and leave it incomplete. The affected negotiation loop lacks an overall timeout and client reads lack deadlines, allowing the session to remain open indefinitely. Each stalled session retains a worker, client connection slot, and associated backend database connections until the connector process is restarted.

A denial-of-service vulnerability in MongoDB Connector for BI where an unauthenticated network client can initiate but not complete a SASL authentication exchange, indefinitely retaining worker, connection-slot, and backend database resources. Repeated connections can exhaust configured capacity and block legitimate sessions until restart.
