CVE-2026-81525 is an improper neutralization vulnerability in the MongoDB client library for PHP. The library insufficiently sanitizes special elements, including dot and NUL-byte characters, in application-supplied namespace identifiers before constructing the namespace used for database operations. Applications that incorporate untrusted input into database or collection namespace components can cause operations to be silently retargeted to an unintended database or collection, including another tenant's storage location.
