Affected releases create named IPC objects, including a service-exit event and a synchronization semaphore, with NULL discretionary access control lists (DACLs). The NULL DACL grants local users unrestricted access to these objects, allowing one logged-in user to disrupt another user’s OpenVPN process by signaling the exit event or preventing access to the semaphore.
